Remains of Police Officer Died In Action Taken To Madampe

On Friday a young police officer jumped into the water and attempted to rescue a family of three, who were marooned in the floods. Unfortunately he was not successful in his attempt. Instead he was missing.

On Saturday his body was recovered. His remains were to be taken to Madambe last night.

The funeral of the hero police officer will take place in his native place Malgamuwa, Giriulla today.
