Cabinet Approval Granted to Reduce Price of Kerosene (UPDATE)

Cabinet approval has been granted to reduce the price of kerosene to Rs 70 per litre, Minister Gamini Jayawickrama Perera said.
The Cabinet meeting was held today chaired by President Maithripala Sirisena.
Accordingly the price of kerosene will be reduced to Rs 70 per litre from midnight today (12).
During the recent revision of fuel prices, the price of kerosene was increased by Rs. 57 an up to Rs 101 per liter.

Kerosene Price to Reduce by Rs.70 From Midnight Today
The price of a litre of kerosene oil will be reduced to Rs.70 from midnight today (12).
The decision was arrived at during a discussion held between the State Minster of Fisheries and Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera.
 The Cabinet paper in this connection  will be tabled before the Cabinet of Ministers meeting today, Spokesman for the Ministry of Fisheries said.  
Earlier a litre of kerosene oil was sold for Rs.44. However following the recent amendment in fuel prices the price of a litre of kerosene oil was increased to Rs.101.
