Police have arrested 484 persons for violating election laws

 

Police have arrested 484 persons who violated election law since the general election 2015 was announced.

Meanwhile Chilaw United National Party (UNP) chief organizer Shantha Abeysekera complained to the Chilaw police that nearly 3000 mudslinging posters have been handed over to be posted.

A senior officer of the Chilaw police stated that an investigation has been initiated in connection with the complaint of Shantha Abeysekera.
