(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Live ammunition and several military equipment including Army uniforms were discovered at the residence of a known associate of a wanted Sri Lankan underworld drug kingpin, ‘Makandure Madush’ in Talalla on Friday (08).
The Crimes Eradication Unit of the Matara Police Division has seized live ammunition and several military equipment including Army uniforms following a search operation conducted at the residence of Anushka Kavishal alias ‘Janga’ who was arrested in Dubai along with Madush in a raid at a hotel in Dubai.
Furthermore, the Police also seized three motorcycles parked at the residence while a relative of the suspect was also arrested.
Meanwhile, the Police seized a vehicle belonging to another suspect which was found at a hotel in Mirissa. A stock of cannabis was also discovered in the vehicle.
However, the Police was unable to locate any form of suspicious objects when they searched the residence of Madush in Makandura.
