(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, Western, Southern and Uva Provinces, and in Kurunegala District after 2.00 PM on Thursday (21), the Department of Meteorology stated.
Showers or thunder showers may occur at a few places in coastal areas in Hambantota to Kalmunai in the morning too.
Fairly heavy falls above 50 millimetres can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces, and in Galle and Matara Districts.
Severe lightning activities are also possible in Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces, and in Galle, Matara and Monaragala Districts, the Met. Department stressed, adding that misty conditions can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa Province during the morning.
