Heat advisory still in effect for several areas

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Several areas in Sri Lanka are still under a heat advisory, the Department of Meteorology stated on Tuesday (09).

On the apparent North-ward relative motion of the sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 05 to 15 April.

Accordingly, the nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (09), are Mahawewa, Alaluwa, Kadahapola, Uhumiya, Udagama, Kandanuwara, Girandurukotte, Ellegoda, Galmeda, and Periyanilavanai about 12.11 noon, the Met. Dept. stressed.
