Navy finds 18.9 kg of Kerala cannabis

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Naval personnel found 18.9kg of Kerala cannabis abandoned at Katahas Paththiri area in Thalaimannar on Wednesday (26).

A group of naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command, during a routine patrol conducted in Katahas Paththiri area spotted an abandoned dinghy and found this stock of cannabis in the dinghy when searched. It is believed that the suspects had escaped the scene, having noticed the naval personnel conducting routine patrols.

The seized stock of cannabis, dinghy, OBM and other fishing gears were handed over to the Pesale Police for onward legal action.
