(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – A motion signed by 54 United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarians has been handed over to the Leader of the UNP, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The motion called the Premier to summon the UNP Working Committee and the Parliamentary Group to select a candidate for the forthcoming Presidential Election.
The motion requested the meeting to be called within the next 7-days in order to select a candidate through an internal vote.
