(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Administration Services Association has threatened to launch another trade union strike if their salary demands are not resolved within 72 hours.
Association Secretary Rohana de Silva said the union expects an effective solution to be provided to their concerns.
He said at present Association members are engaged in a work to rule campaign, adding they will continue to perform general tasks until Friday when the 72 hour period expires.
He expressed hope that association concerns will be taken up by the Cabinet of Ministers.
However de Silva warned that if a prompt response is not received the association will resort to launching indefinite trade union action on Monday next week.
