(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – A major signal failure that occurred this morning at the Colombo Fort railway stations had caused a delay of all trains coming in and going out of the Fort Railway station, the Railway Control Room said.
Therefore, all the signals had to be operated manually. The cause for the signal failure had not been identified yet.
All the office trains coming to Colombo had been affected due to the signal failure.
According to railway sources, the signal panel on the routes had completely gone blank.
