40 Army officers promoted to rank of Colonel

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Maithripala Sirisena promoted 40 Lieutenant Colonels to the rank of Colonels, the Army Headquarters said.

The promotions had been made on the recommendations of the Defence Ministry and Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.
