(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The Police Media operations is scheduled to be brought under the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) with the aim of streamlining the Tri-Forces and Police Media operations.
The Police Media Division which operated under its Spokesman SSP Ruwan Gunasekara, had suspended its operations from last Wednesday (27).
The Police Media Unit is scheduled to be restructured in order to prevent contradicting and inaccurate information from being released to the media.
Therefore, all military and police media operations are scheduled to be brought under the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) under the directives of Maj.Gen. Sumith Atapattu.
