(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Switzerland yesterday (11) insisted that its Ambassador in Sri Lanka has not been recalled.
There were reports that the Ambassador for Switzerland in Sri Lanka Hanspeter Mock had been recalled over the diplomatic conflict with Sri Lanka linked to the alleged incident where one of the female employees of the Switzerland Embassy in Colombo was detained against her will on the street and threatened at length in an attempt to pressure her into releasing information.
“This information is not accurate. The Swiss Ambassador to Sri Lanka is currently fulfilling his duties in Colombo,” the Switzerland Federal Department of Foreign Affairs stated.
