A Decisive Cabinet Meeting in Progress Now……..

The first cabinet meeting after the local government debacle is in progress at President’s office. Consequent to a meeting between the President and the Prime Minister yesterday (14), a decision was taken to appoint a committee comprising representatives of the President and the Prime Minister to discuss and decide as to whether to continue or not with the good governance United Front Government in future. This decision is expected to be discussed in today’s cabinet meeting, government sources revealed.

Reports received revealed that the SLFP Maithri faction is adamant that the prime minister should resign from his portfolio to continue with the United Front Government. Wait and see what will happen.
