Dengue Fever Vaccine Under Examination

Secretary to the Ministry of health, Anura Wijewickrama said, a vaccine called ‘’Dengue Vaccia’’ was invented after 20 years research work and introduced in Southeast Asia and Latin American Countries , where dengue is spreading. This vaccine  has proved 70% success among  children in those  countries.  Now approval has been granted to use it in Mexico Brazil and Elsavadoor. This vaccine could be applied 3 times to a child over 9 year old . ‘’Dengue Vaccia’’ is being examined  in Srilanka  for it’s use said Anura Wijewickrama.

In Srilanka in past four months  63 persons died,  while 29000 affected by this  dengue fever.
