Govt. Should Not Interfere in Dambulla Vihara Affairs

In a press brief held yesterday (11), Minister S.B.Dissanayake said, that the Dambulla Vihara is coming under the purview of Asgiriya Chapter. The Chief Monk of the Vihara  should be allowed to operate freely on their own.

Acting contrary to the interest of Asgiriya Chapter is not acceptable.

Lot of archeological items is there in Dambulla Rajamaha Vihara. Hence, they should be allowed to maintain it and operate freely, he concluded.
