Jaliya’s Writ Petition Rejected

Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States, Jaliyah Wickramasooriya, has filed a writ petition in the Court of Appeal praying to declare the letter sent by the Srilankan Foreign Ministry to American Officials to cancel the privileges granted to him be cancelled.

The Additional Solicitor General   Gotagoda appeared on behalf of the Attorney General informed the Court, that the Court of Appeal has no jurisdiction   over this matter.

The Court of Appeal accepted the objection made by the Attorney General and rejected Jaliya’s Writ Petition.
