New Policy For Bus Fares To Be Adopted

Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva has submitted a proposal to the cabinet to revise the current policy of 2002 adopted for bus fares with a new policy to suit present day needs.

The cabinet has approved this proposal. Accordingly, a committee of experts will be appointed to prepare a new policy after discussion with the bus trade unions.
