Four motions under the Ministry of Finance were scheduled to be approved by the Parliament yesterday (8). But only one of them had been presented to the House yesterday.
Scheduling of remaining three motions to the Parliament’s agenda today (9), was vehemently protested by the UPFA members representing the Joint Opposition. Despite Speaker’ s assurance that this would not affect todays proceedings, the opposition MPs continued to object it. Hence, Speaker adjourning Parliament for 10 minutes for a party leaders’ meeting.
