P.H. Manatunga Appointed as New Chairman of the Police Commission

Prof. Hettige resigned earlier this month to accept a teaching assignment at a university in Germany for a period of two months.

A senior member of the Police Commission,  P.H. Manatunga has been appointed as the new Chairman of the National Police Commission.

Manatunga received his letter of appointment from President Maithripala Sirisena last afternoon at the President’s Office.
