Police set to catch Police without knowing it

A group of people gathered in front of a Hindu Temple at Urumpirai in Jaffna around 7pm yesterday. Their behavior aroused suspicion among the villagers. They thought this must be the sword cutting group planning to strike. Immediately they informed the Kopai Police.

 Armed Kopay policemen on motorbikes appeared at the scene in no time and rounded up the group. The group produced their police identity cards and said, they are on civil uniforms. Surprised Kopay police returned to the base.
