Sumanthiran who is attending a special session organized by the US Congress. Foreign media reported that the protest was expressed by the organisation called ‘Tamils for Obama’. A session of the US Congress on Co-existence and Reconciliation commenced in Washington yesterday. TNA MP M. A. Sumanthiran has visited the US to attend this session. Sri Lankan Ambassador in the US Prasad Kariyawasam also participated in the session. The organisation called ‘Tamils for Obama’ charge that Sri Lankan parliamentarian M. A. Sumanthiran speaks in support of the Sri Lankan Government. They said that therefore Sri Lanka’s true status will not be conveyed at this session. Expressing his views on this, TNA parliamentarian M. A. Sumanthiran said that he would take steps to explain the current situation in Sri Lanka.
