Sagala Requested IGP to Submit a Report on Alleged Attempted Arrest of a Medical Student.

Minister of Law and Order Sagala Ratnayake has requested theInspector General of Police to carry out a detailed investigation into the alleged attempt to arrest Rayan Jeyalath, coordinator of the Medical Faculty students and submit a report. He further requested the IGP to go into detail the methodology police followed in the attempted arrest. He said that he expects to make a statement and speak about this matter in parliament next week.
