Speaker Allocates An Additional Day for MPs to Air Their Views on New Constitution

The Speaker of House Karu Jayasuriya had a discussion with the prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe to consider granting an additional day for Parliamentarians to express their views on the report by the Steering Committee of the Constitutional Assembly pertaining to the new Constitution. Both of them agreed that there was a high interest
among Members of Parliament to express their views on the Constitution.

Hence, the Speaker has decided to grant an additional day in parliament for parliamentarians to air their views.
