Susanthika Jayasinghe at Hospital & Her Husband Arrested

Olympic Silver medalist Susanthika Jayasinghe has lodged a complaint with the Weliweriya Police alleging to have been assaulted by her husband.

Police said subsequent to the complaint lodged this morning, they had arrested her husband Dhammika Nandakumara.

Jayasinghe is currently receiving treatment at the Gampaha Hospital for injuries received due to the assault.

Further investigations in connection with the incident are being carried out by the Weliweriya Police.
