Hence, the Attorney General has informed the Supreme Court that a decision has been taken to start Tamil medium classes in Sinhala School.
In response to a fundamental right case was filed by the Children of estate workers, AG made this observation. In their application estate workers claimed that a Tamil school is located only 40 kilo meters away from there and their children were compelled to study in Sinhala language. They further quoted that their fundamental rights were violated under guaranteed languages in the constitution.
