Two Sri Lankans were arrested by the Sri Lanka Customs officers early this morning at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) while trying to smuggle out foreign currency worth Rs. 5 million to Dubai. The currency notes forfeited by the customs.
Assistant customs media spokesman Vipula Minuwanpitiya said, they were identified as residents of Chilaw and Colombo aged 47 and 45.
They were arrested with Rs.2.3 million notes and Kuwait Dinar 5685.
Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne is scheduled to hand over post-internship appointment letters to 1,034 doctors at a ceremony in Colombo tomorrow.…
