UNP Annual Convention Postponed

Originally the 71st Annual Convention of the United National Part was scheduled to be held on 10 September at the Seevali Stadium in Ratnapura. But having considered prevailing inclement weather condition and PM’s proposal to grant a number of concessions and benefits to the people through this year’s Budget Proposals, it has been decided to hold it after the budget, Srikotha sources revealed.

This year’s UNP convention will target upcoming Provincial Council Elections, in a vigorous manner to attract more people. These same sources said that it has been planned to commence the UNP Provincial Council Elections Propaganda Campaign at the Convention.
