Weather forecast for 02nd July 2018

Possibility of evening thunder showers in the Eastern, Uva and Northern provinces is still high.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Eastern, Uva, Central, North-central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Vauniya and Mullaitivu districts after 02.00 pm. Fairly heavy falls about 75 mm can be expected at some places.

Light showers will occur in Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
