Weather Forecast For 27th August 2017

Fairly strong winds about 50kmh can be expected over the country (particularly in Uva, North-central, North-western, Central provinces and in the Ampara, Vauniya and Hambanthota districts).

Several spells of light showers may occur in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle Mataraand Kaluthara districts.

On the apparent southward relative motion of the sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 27th of August and 06th of September in this year. The nearest towns of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (27th) are Kovilan Point, Chankanai, Moolai, Mallakam and Varani about 12.12 noon.
