WhatsApp Access Restrictions to be Lifted From Today Midnight

The government restrict the social media and messaging networks including Facebook, WhatsApp, and Viber on last Wednesday (7) to control the spread of hate speech promoting violence.

Austin Fernando, Secretary to the President today said, the WhatsApp service to be returned to normal from today (14) midnight.

In the meantime, Viber service returned to normal from yesterday (13) midnight.
