Thambuththegama Demonstration: 50 People Were Remanded
Farmers Demonstrate and blocked the Kurunegala – Anuradapura main road and started pelting stones at Thambuththegama police station yesterday.
Followed by this incident 59 people were arrested by police.
They were produced before the Thambuththegama Magistrate Samila Nadishani last night. Magistrate was issued the order to remand that 50 out of 59 persons including 2 ladies until 5th of March.
Meanwhile, Thambuththegama Magistrate was granted bail to nine person.
