Sudden transfer of Police Inspector investigating Mahinda Rajapakshe’s alleged Corruption

Police Inspector, Jeyasena Gamage who has been assigned to investigate alleged corrupt activities including financial crimes of former President Mahinda Rajapaskshe  has been issued with an immediate transfer to his former Kinniya Police Station. While he is engaged in investigating, collecting data for prosecution and presenting it, all of a sudden this transfer order has been given by the Inspector General of Police.

His sudden transfer has not only affected consistent  investigation activities  of  the  Commission, but shocked its’ Members.

The Commission has requested the Inspector General of Police, that if a transfer deemed to be a must, consider transferring him to a Colombo or closer to Colombo Police Station
