(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The government has made plans to increase the number of trains operating during office hours, when health authorities issue instructions to resume railway services.

Responding to a question raised by Parliamentarian Ajith Rajapakse during the adjournment debate in Parliament yesterday, State Minister Dilum Amunugama said three new semi express trains will operate during office hours, from Kalutara, Kurunegala and Veyangoda.

He added instructions have also been issued to shuttle trains, instead of only one train journey operating.
