A fire at a residence kills a family of five [UPDATE]
(FASTNEWS | NUWARA-ELIYA) – A fire at a residence in the Ragalawatte Estate in Nuwara-Eliya has killed a family of five including two children.
Police said the fire broke out last night.
A one year old, an 11-year-old, two females 32 and 55 years of age and a 60-year-old male succumbed in the fire.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Talduwa said the Scene of Crime Officers visited the scene of the fire yesterday.
Details are due to be tabled before the Walapane Magistrate’s Court today.
The cause of fire has not been uncovered yet.
