Island wide Bus Strike on 15th December 2015

Sri Lanka Private Bus Owners Association has informed, that the bus operators are not in a position to meet proposed high service charge, high emission test fees , exorbitant increase in  tax on import of bus proposed in the Budget 2016.

If no action is taken to relieve their grievances by reviewing  Budget proposals concerning bus operators, they have decided to go on  one day strike on 15th December 2015, said Gamunu Wijeratne, President of Private Bus Operators Union.
