Amendments to Bribery Act Imminent

President Maithripala Sirisena vowed to eliminate corruption from the country and promised to make every arrangement for institutions, which work towards eliminating corruption, to work in a free and fair manner without political influence.

Speaking at the conclusion of the Anti- Corruption walk held in Colombo yesterday, the President said the required amendments to the Prevention of Corruption Act will be formulated to enable the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption freely and independently.
