PM stated Monthly allowance Will be Added Basic Salary From Jan 2016

Prime Minister (PM) Ranil Wickremasinghe stated that the Rs.10,000 monthly allowance given to the government employees will be added to their basic salary in three stages from next year January (2016).

Prime Minister Wickremasinghe made the observation at the Parliament this afternoon (14).

Adding further, he stated that Rs.2500 salary increment for Private sector should be implemented by May-2016 & relevant laws will be put before the house in Jan. And Lease Valuation Fee – for Motor cars – Rs.5000; for Three-Wheelers & Motorcycles Rs.3000. And Rs.5000 ‘Emission Test Fee’ will be reduced to Rs.1500 interim fee; Revenue Liaison Fee reduced from 25%to15%, stated further.
