Respect public opinions and set aside political deals-FUTA
(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The Federation of University Teachers Association says political deals must be set aside while public opinion must be respected.
Chairman of FUTA Prof. Nirmal Ranjith speaking at a media briefing yesterday said the government must have a sense of responsibility towards the future of the country.
Prof. Ranjith said it is unimaginable that a Prime Minister who had no mandate will be accepted when a President who garnered 6.9 million votes has been rejected.
He added political games must be set aside especially with people who have rallied together at this time.
