Abela frontrunner to play Amy Winehouse
(FASTNEWS | UNITED STATES) – Twenty five year old British actress and “Industry” star Marisa Abela has reportedly emerged as a frontrunner to play Amy Winehouse in the upcoming biopic “Back to Black”.
It is believed Abela is in discussions but the role isn’t yet locked. The role was always intended to go to a newcomer.
Abela boasts a colorful background of Maltese, Libyan, Russian and Polish descent along with having Jewish heritage which was important to the creative team in terms of authenticity.
