In a surprising lashing out at Former Minister Basil Rajapakse United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) MP Vijith Wijayamuni Zoysa claims that he was not allowed to work freely as the Minister of Wildlife in the regime of the previous government.
He states that it was Basil Rajapakse in fact who made all key decisions in regard to the Ministry’s functions.
The MP further states that it was simply to spite him that the main road in Bibile was not carpeted.
It is a sad fact to hear such allegations, as it is a clear depiction how representatives elected by the people to overlook and address their needs simply can channel public funds wherever they please while disregarding the needs of the people to simply to satisfy personal vendetta’s.
The UPFA MP further elaborated as to how he was held responsible in the case of a farmer or elephant calf’s death yet not allowed to function as he saw fit in his own Ministry.
The MP also took a jab in the direction of law how large scale crooks are protected by politicians while simple farmers suffer the wrath of justice system for minor offences.
