Sri Lankan President arrives in London for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – President Ranil Wickramasinghe, who left the island to attend the funeral ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II, arrived in London yesterday (17) at noon.

Deputy Lieutenant Dave Easton, the British King’s Special Envoy, and Saroja Sirisena, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom, were present to welcome the President who arrived in London.

The President is scheduled to return to the island next Wednesday (21) early in the morning. He is in London to participate in the funeral ceremony of Queen Elizabeth, which will be held at Westminster Abbey in London tomorrow (19)
