Lotus Tower now one of the main attractions in Colombo

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Around 100,000 individuals have visited the Lotus Tower in the first 15 days since the tallest building in South Asia was declared opened to the general public.

The Lotus Tower, the tallest building in South Asia, opened to the public on the 15th of September.

Around 10,000 persons visited the tower yesterday (2) while on the 1st of October being the Children’s Day and the International Day for Older Persons, 11,752 individuals purchased tickets to visit the Tower.

Chief Executive Officer of the Colombo Lotus Tower Pvt. Ltd. Major General (Rt) Prasad Samarasinghe said on weekdays the Tower will be open to the public from noon to 10pm and 10am to 11pm on weekends.

Entry tickets are priced at Rs. 500.

Major General (retired) Pramasad Samarasinghe said that the company managed to generate an income of Rs.2.1 million on September 15, when the Lotus Tower was opened.
