Special dengue eradication programme to be introduced by Health Ministry in the Western Province
The Ministry of Health states that a special dengue eradication program will be implemented focusing on the Western Province as from the 23rd of this month.
Measures have been taken to implement this program due to the current weather conditions being conducive for mosquito breeding resulting in the significant rise of dengue patients.
The MOH added, that if the prevailing rainy conditions continue, there would be a further increase in the number of patients.
Currently 27,426 patients have been diagnosed with dengue fever this year.
