Senior US Treasury official calls on Sri Lankan President

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Visiting United States Deputy Assistant Secretary of Treasury for Asia Robert Kaproth has called on President Ranil Wickremesinghe Tuesday at his office.

The Deputy Assistant Secretary of Treasury and the U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung had held discussions with the President on Sri Lanka’s plans to implement economic reforms in line with the agreement negotiated with the International Monetary Fund.

Ambassador Chung has emphasized that the political will and strong actions will help to get the economy back on track.
