New Electoral System Acceptable by All in Srilanka

Minister and Leader of the All Ceylon People’s Congress, Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen said an electoral system that does not create injustice to minorities should be created.

Even now, the major political parties  join together to destroy small political parties.

Discussion will be held with  all minority parties about this situation

Introduce a fair electoral system that  could  be acceptable  by all ethnic groups and minorities in the Country. Our Party accepts such an  electoral system for  the parliamentary, provincial and Local Government  Elections.Minister Rishad said the change in  electoral system discussion  should  include Political parties, religious leaders, intellectuals and people’s opinions

President has promised to introduce the right electoral system incorporating opinions of all people concerned
