Ministry of Transportation has decided to charge twice of relevant ticket price and a fine of 5000 rupees from ticket less train travelers from today.1st January 2016
Penalty for for ticket less train travelers has been increased from Rs2,500 to Rs5,000 with effect from today, said GM, Railway.
Further the General Manager of Sri Lanka Railway, B.P.A. Ariyaratna said that laws will be strictly imposed against train travelers travelling without ticket on foot-board.
