Former Army Major General Jeyasundara of Raknalanka allowed bail

Former Army Major General Bandara Jeyasundara was subjected to an inquiry in connection with corruption in Raknalanka by the Presidential Commission on Corruption.

Further, Cinnamon Garden Police filed a case in Colombo Chief Magistrate Court. When this case was taken for inquiry yesterday, Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya granted bail to Jeyasundara on two Rs 500,000 personal and Rs10,000 cash bail. Chief Magistrate ordered Cinnamon Garden police to file progress report on or before 19th May 2016.
