Kumar Gunaratnam , Leader of the Front Socialist Party has been detained over 77 days as a today . He has not been charged . He was arrested by the previous Government without giving valid reasons .There are more people detained for a long time without charging them in courts of law . A massive demonstration demanding release of Kumar Gunaratnam and in respect of other issues is being carried out in Colombo today. This procession commenced at Technical junction and proceeding towards Presidential Secretariat .More than 1000 people participated in this protest demonstration.Heavy traffic congestion in Fort area is reported . Motorist are advised to use other alternative roads,Police said.
