Current NIC Application Forms To Be Revised

The Department of Registration of Persons has decided to amend the existing system of issuing National Identity Cards, in line with the issuance of the new ID card. Three separate application forms were used for the issuing of new ID when applying for an ID card for the first time, replacing a lost ID card and the issuing of ID cards replacing an existing ID card. However the Department will now replace all three application forms with a single form. A new programme to download Identity Cards from the internet will also be implemented in future.
